Across the Board, Across San Francisco
In 2025, Mariposa Kids launched Across the Board, Across San Francisco, an annual community event bringing together San Francisco based nonprofits recruiting board members with prospective community members looking for board opportunities. Our inaugural event brought together 20 SF non-profits and over 50 prospective guests.
Summer Collaborative
Inspired by the resilience of summer program providers to continue to serve children in 2024 after massive drops in public funding, Mariposa Kids co-created our Summer Collaborative initiative in 2024. This initiative brings together San Francisco non-profits providing quality summer programming to children in the city. As the backbone agency for this collaborative, Mariposa Kids aims to address continued gaps in critical funding by city budget cuts through collaboration and partnership.
Through partnership with foundations, corporations & philanthropists, we believe we can work towards a city where families incur less stress and every child has access to quality summer programs. By sharing resources, best practices, and information, our Summer Collaborative partners are working together to build a stronger summer programming ecosystem for families in San Francisco.
Our Approach
Every child deserves a place where they feel secure, respected, and free to be themselves. Children need the freedom to play and the freedom of choice to develop important life skills. We grow stronger together. Our programs bring children and families into connection with each other and with the neighborhoods we serve.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We believe in inclusive, diverse environments. Financial assistance is available to families earning low-income.
