WHAT TO EXPECT
A typical afternoon at Mariposa Kids balances free play with engaging activities—always with plenty of time outdoors. Kids arrive, have a snack (we provide two healthy snacks each day), and then the rest of the day is theirs to explore. They might join a group game, create art, play on the playground, or simply hang out with friends. Each week, we host a food/cooking activity as part of our Health & Nutrition Program exposing children to new foods and life skills.
Our team is there to support, guide, and connect—never to over-schedule. With an average staff-to-child ratio of 1:10, kids get the attention they need while still having the freedom to follow their curiosity, navigate social situations, and take age-appropriate risks in a safe environment.
We also host an average of five family events throughout the year to build connections between families, celebrate holidays, and achievements of children.
Our Approach
Every child deserves a place where they feel secure, respected, and free to be themselves. Children need the freedom to play and the freedom of choice to develop important life skills. We grow stronger together. Our programs bring children and families into connection with each other and with the neighborhoods we serve.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
We believe in inclusive, diverse environments. Financial assistance is available to families earning low-income.
